Taylor Swift Ready to Move On After Kanye West Drama

Posted: 19 Sep 2009 11:50 AM PDT

After an eventful 2009 Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift says she's happy to have won her award but that she wants to move on from the drama that came up after Kanye West got on stage and claimed that Beyoncé deserved the awards that Taylor received. #3598596 Celebrities at the 25th annual MTV Video Music Awards press room, held at Radio City Music Hall, in New York City, New York on September 13, 2009. On Thursday, Taylor got a little annoyed with radio host MJ on 93.3 FLZ in Tampa Bay. The host kept pressing questions about the incident despite Taylor politely asking to change the subject.

At first Taylor answered his questions saying, "Well, you know I think that the outpouring of love is what I focus on about that whole thing, and getting flowers from Janet Jackson is something that I never thought would happen in my whole life. Just everybody being supportive and showing love, it was really nice [to know] people I didn’t even think knew who I was were out there having my back and being really very kind to me."

He continued asking question and Taylor replied, "You know, honestly, I’m trying not to make it into a bigger deal than it already is. It’s kind of become more of a bigger deal than I thought it would be. I would just like to move on a little bit. … I didn’t know what to think but I think we should talk about something else. It’s nothing I feel like we should talk about."

However, he wouldn't stop so Taylor finally handed the phone to rep and stopped the interview.  Geez, where is the respect here? The girl clearly didn't want to talk about it. Though, Ryan Seacrest seems to remain on the country singers good side after an interview he did with Taylor on his radio show.

In this interview she went on about how she is "really proud to bring the first VMA home to Nashville. [It's good] to know there’s a Moonman on its way to Nashville

She also gushed about receiving flowers from Janet Jackson. "I got flowers from Janet Jackson! It was the nicest card ever — I took a picture of it! But it was really, really nice, and everyone was really sweet to me this week."

That is really sweet! I'm so glad Taylor's been getting a lot of support! I'm sure she needed it.

RIP Grand Master Roc Raida

Posted: 19 Sep 2009 09:53 PM PDT

The first time I heard of Roc Raida was the 1994 DMC US Championships video which, incidentally, was the first DJ battle video I ever saw. DJ Ghetto gave him a run for his money but Raida had the best & most entertaining routine. Even though I never learned to juggle or do a bunch of crazy scratches that video taught me more about DJ'ing than anything else & Raida was the best cat on there. Needless to say, I was a fan.

Check his discography. It's probably deeper than you thought. I know I always forget that he has production credits under his belt. He was a pretty funny dude too. The skits on his mixtapes have to be some of the funniest skits of all time & I didn't think anybody would be able to compete with the level of comedy on Q-Bert's videos until I saw DJ Horse!

It's weird to think about Roc Raida being dead.
