Jack White Pulls a Kanye at the Toronto Film Festival

Jack White summoned a little bit of “inner-Kanye” at the premiere of Under Great White Northern Lights during TIFF 09. If you’re living in a hole, and have no idea what I’m talking about, some dude named Kanye West got on stage during the VMAs and took the mic from some chick named Taylor Swift. People got mad. Jack White, only slightly kicking a dead horse, came onstage and mocked that Kanye West guy. It’s amusing(ish). The video is below.

Wolfmother Set to Laser Lights in Transmission Episode 3

Episode 3 of Transmissions From The Cosmic Egg comes to you this week from the Laserium in Los Angeles, where Cosmic Egg was debuted for the first time to a very lucky clutch of fans, media and Wolfmother alumni. Watch the trippy laser lights, set to the atmospheric rock sounds of Wolfmother as the band explains the story behind Cosmic Egg. Front man Andrew Stockdale described Cosmic Egg as being “Subconsciously about rebirth, phoenix rising coming out of the ashes… uncertain beginnings to a triumphant victory.”

Cosmic Egg will hit stores October 27th, and is available on iTunes now along with the single “New Moon Rising.”
