American Idol season 7 finalist, Syesha Mercado, sat down and talked about the American Idol Experience attraction which is opening next month at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida (Syesha's home state!). | Diana DeGarmo Joins Cast of “OZ: The Musical” Posted: 16 Jan 2009 02:20 PM PST
American Idol season 3 runner-up, Diana DeGarmo, has been cast in the lead role of Todrick D. Hall's "OZ, The Musical." If his name sounds familiar, you might remember him as the director of Oprah's Broadway hit "The Color Purple." I'm sure it's going to be great! Is anyone already making plans to go see it? I want to hear all about it and feel free to come back and share stories and pictures! Here are the current tour dates:
In the meantime, free auditions are being held in each city where the musical is performed. The director is looking for children (must be between the ages of 6 to 16) to cast as Munchkins. The kids will get a chance to appear alongside Diana and the other cast members. What an opportunity! | No First Kiss for David Archuleta… Yet Posted: 16 Jan 2009 01:37 PM PST When it comes to things like dating and kissing, American Idol season 7 runner-up, David Archuleta, prefers to take it slow. Along with telling Seventeen magazine that he's never had a first kiss, he also said: "I think so many people want to rush things, they want to rush hanging out, they want to rush making out, and then it’s like they don’t even know the person they’re with."

| Chris Sligh Pens New Rascal Flatts Single Posted: 16 Jan 2009 01:15 PM PST Remember Chris Sligh from season 6 of American Idol? If you were a fan, Of the song, Chris said: "He had the idea, ‘What if we treated goodbye like a person?’ We sat down and took it from there, painted this whole picture. I remembering sitting after we finished it and thinking, ‘This song is going to make a lot of women cry.’" I'm really looking forward to hearing it. What woman doesn't enjoy crying (okay, you know what I mean!)? Chris, who was driving when he got the call telling him that the popular country group would be recording his song, said he "just about drove off the road."
