| Concert Review: Zigaboo Modeliste and Friends & Bhi Bhiman @ Cafe Du Nord, 12/27 Posted: 20 Jan 2009 01:00 PM CST Famed New Orleans percussionist Zigaboo Modeliste played San Francisco's Café Du Nord with local rising star Bhi Bhiman opening, and in sum it was a hugely satisfying show that ran the gamut in musical style and temperament. Bhiman was a wise choice for Modeliste, who was celebrating his birthday and had specially selected the folk rocker to get the crowd warmed up. Their styles couldn't be more |
