Dead Zeppelin: No Singer, No Tour Posted: 09 Jan 2009 07:07 AM PST Well it looks as if even a tour with half of the original Led Zeppelin Members will no longer happen. Yesterday Britmusicscene.com reported that Jimmy Page’s manager, Peter Mensch said that all hope has been scrapped for any kind of Zeppelin based tour, with or without Robert Plant.
As most know, they were trying out different singers. I guess none of them seemed to work out. How do you go about replacing a vocalist such as Robert Plant? Is it possible without looking completely ridiculous and getting backlash? At least we still have the albums of past to listen to and remember the great tunes that Zeppelin graced us with. Physical Graffiti was a turning point for me as a rock fan. It was the match that lit the bonfire for me. I first heard that album when I was 14 or 15 back in 1990-91. Yeah, I know it had already been out for 15 years or so by that point but I was still young and uninformed in a small town. However, it sparked a fire in me that launched me towards being a fan of heavier and heavier music. Image: Newscom.com Tags: jimmy page, led zeppelin, Led Zeppelin Reunion, Rorbert Plant |
