| Bizzy Bone Robbery Suspect charged With Felony, $300,000 Bail. could Face 28 Years!!!! Posted: 14 Jan 2009 08:52 PM CST  The man responsible for robbing Byron "Bizzy Bone" McCane has been charged with one felony count each of robbery and first-degree burgulary. Former Bone Thugs-n-Harmony rapper was reportedly attacked last week.On Jan. 5, Byron McCane, also known as Bizzy Bone, had returned from a restaurant to his room at the Universal Hilton, where he was confronted by several men who beat and choked him before taking his jewelry, police said. (LA Now) A primary suspect has been formally charged. Deputy District Attorney Paul Nunez says 30-year-old Marlo "Bow Wow" Jones was charged Tuesday with one felony count each of robbery and first-degree burglary. Jones and several other suspects are accused in the choking and robbing of rapper Byron McCane. (Associated Press) Ironically, Jones is known for his work in anti-gang programs. He was a contract employee with the Unity One gang-intervention program and had worked with USC football coach Pete Carroll in his gang-violence-reduction efforts. But prosecutors allege he committed the crime to further the Grape Street Crips, one of South L.A.'s most notorious gangs. (Los Angeles Times) Jones has an extensive criminal track record and faces multiple years behind bars. He is on probation stemming from his no contest plea last November to one count of felony spousal abuse. Jones was convicted in 1996 of robbery and in 1999 of possession of cocaine. Arrested Saturday, Jones is being held in lieu of $300,000 bail. If convicted as charged, Jones faces up to 28 years in state prison, according to the District Attorney's Office.
