Rock Is Alive And Well: Bruce Springsteen to Headline Bonnaroo Festival | Bonnaroo Line-Up Posted: 03 Feb 2009 12:06 PM PST “Rock and roll doesn’t necessarily mean a band. It doesn’t mean a singer, and it doesn’t mean a lyric, really. It’s that question of trying to be immortal”… Bruce has truly proved the appropriateness of this Malcolm McLaren quotation and that Rock n' Roll is still alive and well! Just after stealing the show at the Super Bowl stage on Sunday, the rock legend Bruce Springsteen, who just released his latest CD “Working on a Dream” last week, has his next gig all lined up and Entertainment Tonight has the festival details. The Associated Press has announced yesterday that Springsteen and the rock group E Street Band will rock out the Bonnaroo Arts & Music Festival. The annual festival, which will be held during June 11-14 on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tenn., 60 miles south of Nashville, draws about 80,000 fans each year. General Admission tickets will run you “5 easy payments of $50.00″. I don’t know what economy these people are living in but that’s not affordable for most people, even with a huge line-up and 4 days of madness. I guess when you look at it, ticket prices really aren’t that high if you consider the bands on the line-up that normally charge a little less than that for their own concert tickets. Food, drink, lodging and merch are going to be expensive too, so plan it well. Visit Bonnaroo.com for more info.
