The Answer Everyday Demons There’s a good reason why The Answer was chosen to open for hard rock veterans, AC/DC. Why? Because they kick ass. They may not have a new or even a modern sound to them but they know how to rock.

The first time I heard the answer was on their Never Too Late EP. When I slipped it in and pressed play, my initial reaction was; “Great, another AC/DC clone band.”, but they were far from it. I had only heard a few seconds before making that statement to myself, but as I continued to listen it just had a certain vibe to it that screamed classic rock with a modern twist and I was hooked.

Imagine The Black Crowes jamming with Led Zeppelin. The Answer draw influence from Free, Led Zeppelin, The Black Crowes and Cream, yet keep it original enough to truly enjoy them without constantly comparing them to their influences. All I can say is FINALLY, finally a band that says who their influences are and you can actually hear the influence. How many times these days do you hear a band say their influences are so-and-so and they don’t even sound anything like their influence.

Paul Mahon’s guitar playing has great rhythms and solos with that classic feel on tracks like Demon Eyes. You can’t find licks like that any “Modern Rock” band these days. Keeping. Cormac Neeson’s range is amazing and has a slight raspy-ness to it that screams rock and roll! Energetic choruses in songs such as Too Far Gone will have you trying to hit the high notes even though you know you can’t. You’ll be tapping the steering wheel of your car while playing interstate Karaoke, singing falsetto that will strain the safety glass of your windshield. Mickey Waters on bass and James Heatly on drums hold it all together.

If you’ve grown tired of the pop/rock of the modern rock bands these days like Hinder and Nickelback, you’re not alone. We all miss that good old fashioned guitar driven rock. The Answer brings it all back. Look for Everyday Demons on stores on March 31st on The End Records. Check out the video for On & On below.
