| "Crack A Bottle" Sets Digital Record Posted: 12 Feb 2009 12:39 AM CST  "Crack A Bottle", the latest collaborative single from 50 Cent, Eminem and Dr. Dre, is expected to stand at the top of 'The Billboard Hot 100' when the chart is released tomorrow (February 12). According to Billboard, the song soared from No. 78 to No. 1 on the chart and has set a record for opening week download sales (418,000). The record previously belonged to T.I. and Rihanna who shifted 335,000 downloads with their collaborative single "Live My Live" last year. Among all weekly sales, "Crack A Bottle" comes in third after Flo Rida's "Low" (467,000) and Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" (419,000). Various media outlets had attached "Crack A Bottle" to Eminem's upcoming Relapse album but 50 Cent revealed last week that the song will appear on his album, Before I Self Destruct. Before I Self Destruct is slated for release next month. Eminem and Dr. Dre will be releasing their albums later this year. |
