Robbie Williams Rejoining Take That - If They’ll Have Him ‘Back For Good’

If you’re of a certain age, you will well remember the day Robbie Williams upped and left Take That. The biggest boyband the UK has ever produced suddenly lost its most outgoing member, and it wasn’t long before the rest of the group decided to go their own separate ways.

Williams then went onto have phenomenal success as a solo artist, having broken free of the confines of being in a clean-living, controversy-free boyband. Gary Barlow’s career faltered; Mark Owen appeared on Big Brother; and the other two disappeared into obscurity once again.

But then something bizarre happened. Robbie’s career went into free fall, with poor album reviews and constant press speculation over his drug addictions/relationships/L.A. lifestyle taking over as the main thing we knew him for. And Take That re-formed.

Since then, the tables have well and truly turned. Take That now being probably more popular than ever, and Robbie Williams chasing UFOs around Los Angeles. But time has healed the rift, and Barlow and Williams are at least now on speaking terms.

This has led to speculation that Robbie will now rejoin Take That, turning them once again into the five-piece they started out as. According to The Mirror, that possibility is now looking highly likely, and it’s Robbie that thinks so.

He commented while attending the opening of the Queen musical We Will Rock You in Manchester, stating:

"Let's see what happens, but my head's in the right place, so the timing could be right if Gary calls. I think it would be fun. It would be good."

"I'm in regular contact with them, even Gary, so it's looking more likely by the week. We've matured now. We'd have a laugh."

"The lads seem up for it and some people think it's a done deal. It would make sense for it to happen some time over the next year."

I’d personally love to see Robbie William rejoining Take That, and it seems I’m not alone. This reunion topped a recent MTV poll asking who people would most like to see get back together. And Gary Barlow has suggested it will happen, it’s just a matter of when?

What do you think? Should Take That welcome Robbie back to the fold? Should Robbie take the plunge or continue to plough on as a solo artist? Would it risk ruining what Take That have now become?
