Acrassicauda: Heavy Metal in Baghdad

Acrassicauda is an Iraqi heavy-metal band that was disunited after their practice space in Iraq was bombed. The group went into exile in Syria and Turkey before the men were able to settle in the United States.

Acrassicauda band members were VIP guests backstage at a Metallica concert recently, after years of dealing with immigration bureaucracy.

Listening to Adam Lambert's "Ring of Fire" version over and over again makes me remember a scene from the Lion King movie where Scar sings "Be prepared". Or what about the "The Lion King 2, Simba's Pride - My Lullaby"?

Adam Lambert sounds like Scar, don't you think so? With a matching fire background and Adam's facial expression, no doubt he could be the best villain in a musical.

Wednesday night (March 18) on the "American Idol" stage, Carrie Underwood and Randy Travis sang "I Told You So" in a live debut of the recently recorded, official version of the duet.
