Saigon Records Album In 24 Hours For Digital Only Release

Posted: 11 Mar 2009 05:55 PM PDT

Saigon announced this week that he's partnered with Amalgam Digital for a non-traditional deal to market, promote, and release his music.

The rapper's first release with the company will be a digital only album, titled All In A Day's Work, produced entirely by Statik Selektah and recorded in just 24 hours.

"Working with Saigon in those 24 hours and getting songs done so fast, showed why he should be held as one of the greatest to ever do it," the producer said of their time in the studio.

Despite how fast the album's creation came together, Saigon is confident that the project should be considered a "classic," that is before his long awaited debut hits shelves.

"This album, All In A Day's Work, is a bonafide hip-hop classic created from beginning to end in 24 hours," Sai said. "It is a definitely a spark in the right direction for the resurgence of East Coast hip-hop.

"I teamed up with producer Statik Selektah and Amalgam Digital and we came together to present the world with the best album of the year 2009, aside from my debut of course, The Greatest Story Never Told, which will soon follow..."

The first single will be "Spit," which is also featured on the newest edition of "Grand Theft Auto." The second, recently released single, is "The Rules."

Saigon is expected to follow up this digital only album by expanding on his Warning Shots series. He will release Warning Shots 2 via Amalgam Digital, immediately following All In A Day's Work, which drops March 17.

His official debut, The Greatest Story Never Told, still has no release date.
