Idol Stalker - Watching American Idol |
Kara DioGuardi and Jillian Barberie at Ivy Posted: 20 Apr 2009 08:50 AM PDT American Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi, was spotted sharing a meal with Jillian Barberie at the Ivy last week in Los Angeles. I don't know about you guys but whenever I hear that someone was hanging out at the Ivy, I automatically assume that they want to be seen since it's always crawling with paparazzi.
Also, I don't know if I'm just feeling particularly snarky this morning but I have to comment on the outfits these two are wearing. I'm still young but I'm not 20 any more and neither are Jillian and Kara. What are they thinking? The ripped jeans ensemble just looks absolutely ridiculous and those shorts look lame. You can look sexy and even show some skin at any age but this just looks lame to me. What do you think? Tags: jillian barberie, kara dioguardi pictures |
Idol Documentary Coming to Gospel Channel Posted: 20 Apr 2009 08:36 AM PDT A one-hour documentary called From Idol to Inspiration will air on the Gospel Music Channel this Thursday, April 23, 2009. The film "explores the effect of the Fox network singing competition on Christian music." I think that is an interesting topic because I have thought about it myself over the years. There are times, actually, when I've thought that Idol had a greater impact on Gospel and Country music than within the Pop genre. Several familiar faces have participated in the film – Mandisa, Chris Sligh, Phil Stacey, Melinda Doolittle and Maria Santiago, the sister-in-law of this year's finalist, Danny Gokey. The documentary will air right before the telecast of the Gospel Music Association’s 40th annual Dove Awards. image © 2009 FOX BROADCASTING CR: FOX Tags: Chris-Sligh, danny gokey, from idol to inspiration, Phil-Stacey |
