New Material from Paolo Nutini

Paolo Nutini

Scottish singer Paolo Nutini is releasing his brand new single, "Candy" on May 18th in the UK, which is exciting news. This is the first single off his upcoming album Sunny Side Up, his follow up to his 2006 debut, These Streets. The last single of Nutini's that I loved was "New Shoes" back in 2007. This new single has a fantastic old-soul, retro groove goin' on. It really sounds like an old record from the 60s and Nutini's voice sounds better than ever. Definitely looking forward to some new material from this talented guy.

Mandy Moore Video Premier

Mandy Moore
Sorry for the delay in postings! Work has been draining me and this past weekend allowed me to let loose and have some fun. I'm also getting ready for my week-long trip to London/Munich (leaving on Wednesday!) which is also much needed. Only 2 more days of work to go!

So while I was perusing The Prophet on my lunch break, I learned that the new Mandy Moore video for "I Could Break Your Heart Any Day Of The Week" premiered. Whoa. What a mess. Mandy looks gorgeous but what's going on with the story (or lack there of). The video consists of Mandy leaning seductively against a wall while a karate class carries on in front of her. The only action occurs at the end of the video...if you can even call it action! So random! I love you Mandy, but the video looks cheap. I have to say, the video for "Extraordinary" was better than this...which isn't really saying much.

Her album, Amanda Leigh drops May 26th, plus catch special appearances on The Tonight Show (5/20) and The Ellen DeGeneres Show (5/27).
