Though various line-up changes and even deaths may have plagued the band throughout the years, they have persevered and continued on despite sometimes being referred to as a Pretenders tribute band. Original members Pete Farndon and James Honeyman-Scott, both died of unfortunate drug related causes within a year of each other. They aren’t the first and only band to endure these perils of rock and roll, but nonetheless chose to carry on doing what they love. If there’s one thing that legendary Pretender’s front woman Chrissie Hynde swears by, it’s a good Fender Telecaster.
