New Found Land make impeccable and polished pop. The band is really a duo of Karl and Ana from Gothenburg. Their new album, We All Die, is out May 20 on Fixe Records. “By Your Side” is a lullaby from that record that hints at some of the melancholy of the title. It’s languid pace and romantic themes remind me of the slocore romantica of Tindersticks.
