Hank Williams Jr. turns 59 today.

Hank was born on May 26, 1949. The year Hank was born, Harry S. Truman was President, the first Volkswagen Beetle arrived in America, Joe Louis retired from boxing, Jim Roper won the first official NASCAR race, the Soviet Union tested it's first atomic bomb and The Lone Ranger premiered on ABC. Some other notable people who share May 26th as their birthday: Stevie Nicks (1948), Peggy Lee (1920), John Wayne (1907) and Jay Silverheels (1919) who played Tonto on The Lone Ranger series.

Darius Rucker Performing An Acoustic Live Performance of Alright at the Nike Headquarters

Darius Rucker has been on fire ever since he released his first country single Don't Think I Don't Think About It. Both that single and his second single It Won't Be Like This For Long went to #1 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. His third single is called Alright (MP3), and it's just broken into the top 20 on the Hot Country charts. Here's Darius performing an acoustic version of the song at the Stanford Theatre located on the Nike headquarters campus in Beaverton, OR. Enjoy!
