Susan Boyle to join BGT Tour

So we thought Susan Boyle won't make it to the Britain's Got Talent (BGT) Tour. Wrong. The singer, who placed second, will be joining the rest of the BGT contestants.

The 48-year-old singing sensation had a mental breakdown after the finale and was hospitalized at the Priory Clinic in Southgate, North London. According to reports, Susan Boyle looked happier and more relaxed now!


Chicago Blues Festival 2009

Chicago's Grant Park celebrates the 2009 Chicago Blues Festival today. Performers like Eddie C. Campbell, Bettye LaVette, and Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings will be there for the fest, which will run from June 12 to 14.

This is Chicago's largest free festival with over 500,000 people expected to attend. For details and schedules, visit this.

Mike and Juliet, cancelled!

You read it right! Mike and Juliet has been cancelled! The TV show where our Idols usually visit and perform has been cancelled due to "economic times." The show will stop taping in June.

Here is what they say: [via Huffington Post]
"Over the past two years, we set out to produce a high-quality show that provided viewers with an engaging source of entertainment. We believe we accomplished this goal. Unfortunately, the current serious economic conditions made it challenging to continue producing the type of unique program that we wanted to deliver."

Re-runs of "The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet" will still air until fall.

It is officially announced today that legendary singer Paul McCartney will perform at The Mets' new home, Citi Field, on July 17 and 18, 2009.

It's official: Paul McCartney concert shows at Mets' new Citi Field
The shows will mirror McCartney's historic performance with the Beatles at the team's former home (Shea Stadium), which was the first music event ever held there, back on August 15, 1965.

Forty-three years later, McCartney performed at the final show at Shea, as a guest star for Billy Joel's run there in July of last year.
