There is little in the world I find so refreshing as tiny Peruvian labels releasing limited edition 3″ cd’s complete with homemade artwork and of course containing Swedish indie pop. In this case it’s the startingly great shoegaze of The Last Portray.

“On The Brink Gazing In” is all distorted, slashing, wall of guitar noize eclipsed only by the droned vocals of the band’s lead singer. It’s operatic in its intensity and punk in its demeanor.
