I wanted to reach out and say thank you for writing a piece on my site www.ArtistRise.com. I'm feelin your tracks online - If you create an AR profile I'll get you in our featured Artist rotation. Also, If you're interested, perhaps we can find a way to co-promote and help both our sites grow (exchange links etc...) - let me know?

Artist Rise is one grassroots big experiment and I've launched it with no funding or future revenue model. We're relying on good people who believe in the concept to help us grow. The main advantage of AR compared to other music communities is that bands can receive live performance offers through their profiles. Anyone can click the "Book This Artist" link on a band profile and submit an offer to play a show. The offer will arrive in the band's AR inbox and to an assigned e-mail address.

Our initial goals are: (a) Get Artists to sign up and (b) get people to submit content for the home page (news, events, rants & reviews). Anyone can submit material for publication directly from the "submit links" on the homepage. The goal is to eventually build a community of people who submit material for publication on a daily basis. The material doesn't have to be purely music-relation, just interesting, intelligent and even controversial at times.
