Pink “Funhouse” Lyrics and Music Video Posted: 08 Jul 2009 03:20 PM PDT Pink has released her fourth single, "Funhouse" which is from her album of the same title. As with her earlier tracks "”So What,” “Sober” and “Please Don’t Leave Me,” this newest song seems to reflect the emotions and changes she went through as she separated from her husband, Carey Hart (they seem to be spending a lot more together lately, though). Of course, the end of a marriage is a very sad experience and I wouldn't wish it on anyone but I feel that it has really made her newest music so poignant. She has always been upfront and honest in her lyrics but now there is an edge and even a freedom in the sound of her voice that I have't heard before. It's like she's sad and carefree at the same time. With "Funhouse" you could, of course, take it literally and assume she's talking about some attraction at a theme park but really she's talking about the life and home she used to have and how things have changed for the worse over time. She talks about "pictures framing up the past" and in what I assume is a reference to her husband says "your taunting smirk behind the glass." Later she sings "I’d rather live out on the street than in this haunted memory." Yeah, she's definitely angry or bitter about more than clowns and distorted mirrors. Watch the video (mature language warning). Catch the lyrics after the jump!
