She Plays Music

Demi Lovato “Here We Go Again” on Conan

Demi Lovato performed her new song "Here We Go Again"  on the Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien.  The single is from her upcoming album of the same titled which will be released tomorrow.

demilovatoherewegoagainSo, let's focus on the positives here.  She looked very nice and there were no signs of the marks that have spurred on rumors that she's a cutter. 

She's also going to get a lot of non-Disney exposure with this appearance since Conan's audience ranges from youth to middle-aged when you look at his key demographics.

Here's the bad news – this was a pitchy performance and she really overdid it.  So…. her Disney fans will probably forgive this but potential new listeners might be deterred by it.  Could it have been worse?  Yes.  Could it have been a lot better?  Uh, yeah!

Oh well.  One mediocre performance can happen to anyone.  I'm glad she's trying to break away and become her own artist.  I kind of like the song (it wasn't difficult enough to justified her frenzied movements, but I digress).  Sometimes it reminds me of the verses from Katy Perry's "Waking Up in Vegas."  Do you hear it?  Anyway, here's the video.  Check it out before I continue rambling for too long:
