Mary J. Blige Feat. Drake “The One” Posted: 24 Jul 2009 11:17 PM PDT Uh oh! Mary J. Blige has been taken over by autotune! I know, I know. It's all the rage right now but I'm starting to really get tired of hearing it, especially when it's not necessary. On her new single, "The One" which became available for download on Amazon on July 21, 2009. The track is from her upcoming album which is slated for a November 2009 release. Canadian rapper, Drake, is featured on the song. In case you don't know much about him, he used to star on the show Degrassi: The Next Generation (as Aubrey Drake Graham) and, after being signed to Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment label, recently released the video for his single "Best I Ever Had." The song is catchy enough, though, and I can't hate on Mary J. but this really sounds like nothing she's ever done before. I know she's gotta stay fresh but I'm hoping this is the only track on her album that has autotune. Post from: She Plays Music |
Demi Lovato Talks About New Album on “The View” Posted: 24 Jul 2009 11:29 AM PDT Demi Lovato was on The View yesterday where talked about her new album Here We Go Again. It came out earlier this week and it sounds like it's far more mature than her music on Don't Forget and the Camp Rock soundtrack. She got to work with John Mayer and said that it was a great experience (I bet!) and a dream come true. It always surprises me when someone (in this case Barbara Walters) brings up the fact that Demi is the same age as Miley Cyrus. I've got nothing against the erstwhile Hannah Montana but Demi just seems so much older and more mature. It was a great interview since she talks about bullying, her Disney channel show (the huge hit Sonny with a Chance), the fact that her younger sister is on Desperate Housewives and they even showed a clip of Demi and Selena Gomez together as little kids on Barney and Friends. How cute! Watch the interview! Post from: She Plays Music |
