Hear New Muse Album ‘The Resistance’ Streaming Online Posted: 25 Aug 2009 11:42 AM PDT All Muse fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the Devon band’s new album, The Resistance. The good news is that the wait is almost over, with the album released on September 14. The bad news is there’s still three weeks to wait until September 14. Which is just too long away! ![]() Luckily, all those eager fans sick of waiting can at least her a preview of the full album for free (and completely legal) both on Muse’s official Web site, Muse.mu, and on YouTube. Both feature 30-second clips of all the tracks on the album, although the sections featured differ.
Here is an embed of a video on YouTube featuring all the tracks for your perusal: I’m immediately pleased, with The Resistance sounding brilliant even when played in 30-second snatches like this. All tracks sound almost classical, and I can see The Resistance being as close to a rock opera as Muse have yet got. Which isn’t a bad thing in my view. Of course, those amongst you with less scruples will be able to get your hands on the full album by searching the right parts of the Internet. But I’m happy to content myself with this preview until I either buy the album the day it’s released or Spotify stream it in full – whichever comes first.
