Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer is a popular comedy Christmas song. The song was written and first performed by Elmo Shropshire in 1979. It was self-released in San Francisco, California, on the record label Shropshire shared with his wife Let's sing a song together!

Les Paul, a guitarist and inventor who changed the course of music with the electric guitar, multitrack recording and a string of hits, died Thursday of complications from pneumonia. He was 94.
