Flo Rida feat. Nelly Furtado “Jump”

Posted: 07 Aug 2009 11:19 PM PDT

Flo Rida's new song "Jump" is featured in the new Disney movie G-Force.  Of course, the hook is the most recognizable part of the track which features Nelly Furtado's vocals.  This song was released a little while ago but it seems to be blowing up now.

I don't know what to make of the video.  It's got great dancing and basketball sequences but Nelly appears in a Sims version of herself and I really don't like it.  She probably wasn't available for filming for whatever reason so you do what you've gotta do, right?

Anyway, check out the video.

Is Lady GaGa a Hermaphrodite?

Posted: 07 Aug 2009 01:56 PM PDT

Fans at a recent festival got more than they bargained for when Lady GaGa climbed off of a motorcycle on stage.  Apparently, the singer wasn't wearing anything under her very tight red dress and instead of getting a look at what you might expect, they got an eyeful of something totally surprising – a penis!!!  I looked at the video over and over and over again and, sure enough, it looks like a male body part to me!

While all of this must be taken with a grain of salt (since all of this could be a misunderstanding OR a well-designed attention-seeking ploy on GaGa's behalf) Bossip.com is reporting that GaGa confirmed the fact that she is a hermaphrodite.  She allegedly said:  "It's not something that I'm ashamed of, just isn't something that I go around telling everyone. Yes. I have both male and female genitalia, but I consider myself a female. It's just a little bit of a penis and really doesn't interfere much with my life. The reason I haven't talked about it is that it's not a big deal to me. Like come on. It's not like we all go around talking about our vags. I think this is a great opportunity to make other multiple gendered people feel more comfortable with their bodies. I'm sexy, I'm hot. I have both a poon and a peener. Big f*cking deal."

Wow… Well, if you want to see for yourself, check out this video:

Flashback Friday: The Bangles “Walk Like an Egyptian”

Posted: 07 Aug 2009 12:16 PM PDT

While I'm not sure this song would escape a protest from politically correct groups if it were released today but "Walk Like an Egyptian" became a phenomenon when it was released in 1986.  The song quickly shot the bangles walk like an egyptianto #1 and The Bangles had a certified hit from their album Different Light which also featured the very popular song "Manic Monday."

Apparently the song was written after Liam Sternberg spotted some people walking awkwardly on a ferry.  I'm not entirely sure how off-balance people could look Egyptian but I wasn't there and I'm just going to go with it :)

Of course, Ancient Egyptians probably walked like the rest of us do today but because of the hieroglyphic drawings, some have assumed that the Egyptians walked with their arm out in front of them with their hand pointing forward.  Oh well, the song was great!

As I mentioned earlier, in this period in time, this song could not only be considered offensive but it also was deemed "inappropriate" by the Clear Channel following the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.  I have to admit that I never fully understood that one.

Well, this isn't the Clear Channel and I know that a lot of people still love it so here's the video for "Walk Like an Egyptian."
