Whitney Houston Will Be on Oprah This September!

Whitney  Houston has agreed to appear on the season opener of Oprah which will air on September 14, 2009.  I plan to watch every second of this interview since it's been almost seven years since Whitney has talked to anyone about her personal life.  whitney houston I look to you cover

I can only imagine the things she is going to talk about since you know Oprah is going to try to get every detail out of her and there's seriously a lot to tell. 

I'm sure there's going to be a lot of discussion about her marriage to Bobby Brown and the events that led to her finally leaving and filing for divorce which was probably the smartest thing she's ever done. 

I can remember when they got married and everyone was shocked that this "good girl" had decided to settle down with a verifiable "bad boy."  They tried to convince us that opposites attract with that lame song "Something in Common" but it didn't work (for me, at least).

Undoubtedly, her drug addiction and struggle to get clean will be discussed and I'm really interested in hearing about how she managed to put her life back together.  It's clear from her newest single, "I Didn't Know My Own Strength," that she dug deep and found a way to make it and I'm really happy to see her making a comeback.

Oprah is doing a great job promoting the episode, calling it "the most anticipated music interview of the decade."  I'm not sure I would go that far but I'm definitely interested.
