| Katy Perry at The 2009 V Festival at Weston Park Posted: 25 Aug 2009 08:07 AM PDT Katy Perry donned her signature cherry outfit during her performance at the Virgin Festival at Weston Park this weekend. The crowd seemed to really enjoy her set which included the songs "Hot 'n' Cold," "I Kissed a Girl," "Waking Up in Vegas" and "One of the Boys."
I'm still not overly impressed by Katy's control over her voice during live performance (the lower register is actually brutal) but she is improving. Either way, if you're a fan, you've gotta love how fun she is up on stage! Here are some videos of the performances (more after the jump!) but I just thought I'd explain that the outfit she's wearing above in the pictures and the one she's got on in the video are different but they are both from V Fest, just different days (Saturday/Sunday). image: flynet

| LeAnn Rimes In Even More Trouble – Now With the Law Posted: 25 Aug 2009 07:56 AM PDT I recently wrote a post about how I wish LeAnn Rimes would get the drama in her life under control so that she could focus on making music and, unfortunately, things have just gotten worse. I was disappointed when rumors about her affair with Eddie Cibrian surfaced since they are both married and now that they've each split from their spouses, it seems to confirm that there is something going on between them. I realize that people cheat and break up every day so I hoped that it meant that things were going to settle down but that's not the case. The LAPD have questioned the singer for a misdemeanor hit and run that happened sometime “between 7:30 and 7:45 p.m. in the West Los Angeles area" last Thursday. It's apparently an ongoing investigation but specifics were not given so I don't know if anyone was hurt in the incident but it must be significant enough for the crime to be reported. One of Rimes' reps said that the visit from the police was "routine," that a "police report was filed" but that they were confident that this would be resolved soon with LeAnn being cleared. I hope so! Well, judging from this picture of her jogging in Brentwood, CA on Sunday, it looks like she isn't too worried.  image: Fame Pictures
