This week’s Top 10 singles and Top 10 albums are listed below. ![]() The singles chart sees Jay-Z straight in at number one, with the Sugababes having to settle for number two with Get Sexy. Dizzee Rascal drops from one to four, while Kings Of Leon are still in the Top 10 with Sex On Fire. The albums chart sees Arctic Monkeys still at the top with Humbug, while Vera Lynn (wartime sweetheart) has moved up to number two. Leona Lewis – Happy Music Video Review – New Song Posted: 06 Sep 2009 10:33 AM PDT Leona Lewis, reality television star and now diva, is back with a new single and album out soon. Her new single, Happy, is due out on September 15 but it’s been given its debut today (Sept. 6). It’s from her new album Echo, which is due to be released on November 15. ![]() Leona Lewis won The X Factor in 2006 and has since gone on to become a huge star around the world. Her first album, Spirit, was a huge bestseller in many countries, most notably the U.K. and United States. And now she’s back with a new release.
The official music video isn’t yet available so this is a preview clip with just the audio. It’s not perfect but you get a good idea of the feel of the song and will instantly know whether you like the direction Leona has gone in for this upcoming second studio album. I have to admit I’m somewhat disappointed. It’s not a terrible record but it also doesn’t jump out and grab me in the way I thought it would. It also sounds very generic, with a number of artists able to release songs which sound very similar. What happened to Leona’s unique qualities? I’m sure it’ll grow on me in time and I’m also sure there’ll be millions of people who disagree with my first thoughts on the song. But I’m not blown away. In fact, if Echo ends up all sounding like this then I’ll be bored after a couple of songs. Leona Lewis might be Happy, but I’m not. I was expecting so much more.
