Mel B Teases New Spice Girls Reunion – Without Victoria?

You may remember that the last Spice Girls reunion was an absolute shambles. It started off well, with a great buzz, awesome ticket sales, and even a not-too-bad comeback single. And then midway through the sellout world tour, the girls decided to call it a day, split again, and disappoint millions of fans. Call me cynical but it was as though the girls had received their pay checks and promptly decided enough was enough.

Since then, everything coming out of the Spice Girls camp has been negative. February saw the girls declare they would never tour again, while May saw both Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham quit music for good. And then a deathly quiet descended on the Spice Girls story. Until now.

Mel B, aka Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice, tweeted on Wednesday that she was having dinner with Emma, Geri, and Mel C and expressed her sadness that Victoria couldn’t make it. Then on Thursday (Sept. 17), she tweeted, “Spice girls,stadiums?????????? Had dinner with the amazing melc emma and geri I love them so much!”

I’m sorry but what? Spice Girls, stadiums? That would imply the four Spices (minus Posh) discussed reuniting again for a stadium tour, despite how the last effort ended. Hasn’t that ship sailed? I thought we’d been there and done that and watched it crash and burn in front of our very eyes. And now the Spice Girls want to do it all again?

I was quite pleased about the Spice Girls reunion the first time around but a second one would be complete madness. The whole world must surely have moved on by now, especially those fans embittered by having their tickets rendered worthless by the girls deciding to cut short their reunion tour. Enough is enough, surely!
