She Plays Music

New Leona Lewis Single – “Happy”

When I first heard "Bleeding Love" I thought that it was an extremely good single from a reality TV show winner (she took the top prize on X Factor) but Leona Lewis really hasn't been able to recapture that magic in any of her subsequent singles.

The first single from her upcoming album (due out in November) is called "Happy" and it's already begun circulating around the internet.  I really don't know how to feel about it.  I think it allows her to show off her signature voice and almost yodel-type singing style but I don't think this is a particularly strong song. 

She co-wrote the track with OneRepublic frontman, Ryan Tedder, and the first thing I've got to say about that is that I'm happy it doesn't sound like anything Beyoncé or Kelly Clarkson has released (if you don't know what I'm talking about, check out the drama).
