The Legendary Patsy Cline Performing I Fall To Pieces (Live)

Posted: 08 Sep 2009 04:23 AM PDT

Today is the legendary Patsy Cline's birthday. Patsy was born on September 8, 1932, and tragically, died in a plane crash at the young age of 30 on March 5, 1963. I Fall To Pieces was Patsy's first number one country single. Lately, Patsy was brought to the attention of a lot of country fans because of this line in Darius Rucker's number one hit Alright from a few weeks back:

"Don't need no five star reservations
I've got spaghetti and a cheap bottle of wine
Don't need no concert in the city
I've got a stereo and the best of Patsy Cline
Ain't got no caviar no Dom Perignon
But as far as I can see, I've got everything I want"

Dierks Bentley's New Video For I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes

Posted: 08 Sep 2009 04:00 AM PDT

Dierks Bentley's newest single is called I Wanna Make You Close Your Eyes. It's currently at #29 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. If you want to see Dierks sing this one live, check out this video I featured back in March of Dierks singing the song live to Kathy Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb on the Today show. Enjoy!

P.S. Did you know that seven out of Dierks' thirteen singles have gone to number one, and only one didn't make it into the top ten - 2003's My Last Name. That's pretty impressive.

Brooks and Dunn's Brand New Man - Number One Song Today Back In 1991

Posted: 07 Sep 2009 06:01 PM PDT

On this day back in 1991, Brooks & Dunn's debut single Brand New Man moved up to the number one spot on the Billboard Hot Country charts. It was their first number one country single, and it began their run of four number one singles in a row. As of today, they have 20 number one singles on the Billboard Hot Country charts, making them one of the most successful country duos of all-time. They've announced that next year will be their last together, so if you haven't seen them live yet, you've got one more year to do so. Enjoy this look back at one of their best.
