Has Amy Winehouse Had A Boob Job? Posted: 10 Oct 2009 07:07 PM PDT Amy Winehouse appeared on Strictly Come Dancing tonight as a backing singer for her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield. Despite not being the star turn this time around, with Bromfield taking center stage, it’s thought Winehouse saw this as a mini-comeback. And what do you do before a comeback? Why, get a boob job of course. The Sun newspaper claims Winehouse had a boob job this week to prepare for her TV appearance. She allegedly paid a Harley Street clinic £35,000 ($60,000) to go from a 32B to a 32D. The idea was to restore her chest to how it was when she first burst on the scene in 2003 as an attractive, voluptuous woman. That was obviously before she met Blake and started taking all manner of drugs. Which has left her skinny and without any attractive body part left. Personally, if was Amy Winehouse, I’d have got my rotten teeth fixed first. Or maybe paid a Harley Street clinic to lock me up in their basement and promise not to let me out until I was well and truly off the smack. But that’s just me. And I’m not Amy Winehouse. Speech Debelle Cancels US Tour Due To Visa Problems Posted: 10 Oct 2009 03:00 PM PDT You may not have yet heard of Speech Debelle. I certainly hadn’t until she went and won the 2009 Mercury Music Prize in September, beating the likes Glasvegas, La Roux, and Florence and The Machine in the process. But she’s big on the British hip-hop scene and was due to take herself and her music over to the States for a tour this month. Unfortunately, Debelle has had to cancel the gigs due to what NME calls “Visa problems.” Debelle isn’t the first artist to encounter such problems, with Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen also succumbing in recent years. Anyone would think America didn’t want to let young, female British pop stars into the country, maybe for fear they’ll run amok and disturb the natural order of things. It does seem a little strange to try and take British hip-hop to the United States though because this is a country with enough rappers already. And with all due respect to the girl, Speech isn’t much competition for Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Eminem. [Photo Source: Newscom] Post from: Brit Music Scene |
