Anvil on Conan O'Brien

Anvil appeared on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien on Tuesday, October 6. I watched the band's performance and it was pretty bad. It was not the best performance of the group.

The legendary Canadian metal band also released the DVD, "Anvil! The Story of Anvil".

Anvil has been cited as having influenced many notable heavy metal groups, including Slayer and Metallica.

Watch out for this: "Jennifer Hudson: I'll Be Home For Christmas" special on ABC this December via Access Hollywood.

The former "American Idol"-turned-Oscar-and-Grammy winner will host the holiday music special, "Jennifer Hudson: I'll Be Home For Christmas" in December on the network, Access Hollywood has learned.

The one-hour special, which will take place in Hudson's hometown of Chicago, will follow the star as she "relives her childhood Christmases with musical performances shot on location at the small neighborhood church where she brought the congregation to its feet week after week; the music academy where she studied; and other Chicago sites," ABC said in a press release.

Hudson will also visit with family and "childhood friends and others whose influences have been instrumental in her rise from humble beginnings to Hollywood stardom."

Shyne: Free again!

Rapper Shyne is homeward bound according to hiphopdx. Jamal "Shyne" Barrow is set to be released from prison today after serving a 10-year prison sentence for a 1999 shooting involving music mogul Diddy and Jennifer Lopez.

Diddy spoke to HOT97 recently on Shyne's release, stating, "It's a blessing that he's coming home...I spoke to him like a couple of weeks ago and he sounded like he was in good spirits. I know he can't wait to get home. I know he is definitely going to heat the whole scene up. He was definitely one of [many] talented young artists that I had the pleasure to work with. I'm quite sure he's been using his time wisely and has some heat."
