Dear Johnny - In Memory of John Denver 12 Years Later

Posted: 12 Oct 2009 03:49 AM PDT

Twelve years ago on October 12, 1997, John Denver was killed in a freak plane crash right off the coast of California at Pacific Grove. It was a huge blow to Denver fans worldwide as John was only 53 years old. This video was put together as a tribute to John two years ago, and I think it's a great way to celebrate the life of an American music icon. We miss you John. Enjoy the tribute.

Sugarland, Little Big Town and Jake Owen Cover Def Leppard's Pour Some Sugar On Me

Posted: 11 Oct 2009 04:50 PM PDT

Sugarland are famous for their creative cover versions of other artists' songs. Back during their 2007 CMT Change for Change tour, they brought up Jake Owen and Little Big Town to cover Def Leppard's Pour Some Sugar On Me. This is the same tour that sparked their immensely popular cover of The Dream Academy's song, Life In A Northern Town. This video is from their Fresno, California tour stop. Enjoy!

Remembering Dottie West - Dottie West Sings Roy Orbison's Crying (Live)

Posted: 11 Oct 2009 03:36 PM PDT

Country legend Dottie West was born on this day back in 1932. Dottie had a ton of huge hits, including a couple of monster ballads with Kenny Rogers. However, one of my favorite songs by her was her cover of Roy Orbison's hit single Crying. This video is from a live performance back in 1968. Enjoy!

The Randy Rogers Band's Complete Studio 330 Sessions Set In One Video

Posted: 11 Oct 2009 08:20 AM PDT

With more and more bands from Texas breaking through these days, I thought I'd take a look at one of my personal favorites The Randy Rogers Band's Studio 330 Session from a while back. If you're not familiar with them, they're from Austin, Texas, and they've charted five singles on the Billboard Hot Country charts. Their highest charting single so far was Tonight's Not The Night, which peaked at #43 back in 2005. In this session, you'll hear:

Better Off Wrong - MP3
You Start Over Your Way - MP3
One More Goodbye - MP3
