| Posted: 11 Feb 2009 12:31 PM PST The 44th annual Academy of Country Music Awards nominees (2009 ACM Nominees) were announced today during the CBS news program, The Early Show. Former Trick Pony lead singer has five nominations. Kenny Chesney, Jamey Johnson and George Strait have four nominations apiece. Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban each have three. You can watch the ACM Awards air live from Las Vegas, April 5 at 8 PM ET on CBS. | Emma Sophina - Song for Sully video Posted: 11 Feb 2009 11:11 AM PST Australian singer and song writer Emma Sophina (not Emma Sofina) performed "Send Another Prayer" to Captain Sully and the flight's crew. Captain Chesley 'Sully' Sullenberger was the pilot of the American Airlines flight 1549 that crashed into the Hudson River. Emma Sophina was one of the 155 passengers who survived. She recorded two songs, "Wake Up" and "Send Another Prayer", which are now available through her myspace page and iTunes. She has already performed her song thanking Captain Sullenberger on shows like The Howard Stern Show and CBS Early Show. Watch the video below as Emma Sophina sang "Send Another Prayer" on the Early Show to Captain Sully and the flight's crew. This is the "Song for Sully" episode of the show. |
