Carrie Underwood wins ACM Awards 2009

Carrie Underwood took top honors at the 44th annual Academy of Country Music Awards tonight, becoming the seventh female in ACM history to take home the Entertainer of the Year award. It was the second win of the night for the American Idol alum, who capped off the Reba McEntire-hosted ceremony with a tearful acceptance speech (Underwood also won the Top Female Vocalist award).

The 2009 Annual Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM Awards) is tonight. You can watch the broadcast live from Vegas tonight, April 5. The live telecast will be tape delayed for the West Coast broadcast.

What time does the ACM Awards start? It will start at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Also, at 7 p.m. ET/PT the ACM Awards Orange Carpet special (Red Carpet arrivals) will already start airing on cable channel GAC.
