Today, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, died at the age of 50 after suffering from cardiac arrest.  The cause of death is still unknown but celebrities have been reacting to the horrible news along with Jackson's fans around the world.upiphotos920133-Michael-Jackson-pre

Many of the most popular women in music have expressed their shock and sadness to the news through statements and Twitter messages.

Madonna really summed up how a lot of people have been feeling.  "I can’t stop crying over the sad news.  I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever! My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless."

Britney Spears expressed similar sentiments: "I was so excited to see his show in London. We were going to be on tour in Europe at the same time and I was going to fly in to see him. He has been an inspiration throughout my entire life and I’m devastated he’s gone!"

Here's a video of Michael Jackson performing with Britney at his 30th Anniversary Celebration on CBS back in 2001.

Meanwhile, Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of the late Elvis Presley and former wife of Jackson, had the following to say:  "I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible.  I am heartbroken for his children who I know were everything to him and for his family. This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me.

Of course, many more have expressed their grief and I'm sure it will continue for days to come.  Do you have a favorite Michael Jackson moment?

Katy Perry Celebrates With Pizza in the Bathtub

Posted: 25 Jun 2009 09:36 AM PDT

Katy Perry was quite sick recently but she has kicked the flu bug that plagued her.  On Twitter she wrote: "I’m gonna live bitches! A big F U goes out to the flu. U may have taken me down for a couple days but I’m back…and…ready to sing I Kissed a Girl for the 100,000x with a f*ckin GRIN. Lez do this… I should shower now. bye."  At least she's dedicated, right?  I never can understand how these performers can get up on stage and do a show when they feel horrible.  It's got to be awful!

A few minutes after that first message, Katy tweeted: "why is it that after not eating for 3 days all i can think of is food… food is smiling at me… lurring me with sexual seduction."

I'm guessing she got her appetite back since a little later on in the day, she said "I have no self control" and posted this image of her post-flu celebration.  I'm not sure I would have picked a cheesy, greasy pizza for my first big meal after being sick but it does look good.  I hope she enjoyed it!
