Carey and Hudson Pay Tribute at Michael Jackson Memorial Posted: 07 Jul 2009 01:51 PM PDT Mariah Carey took the stage and reunited with Trey Lorenz to perform Michael Jackson's hit "I'll Be There" and I was moved by the effort. I was really glad that Trey was invited to sing along side her since he really was a huge part of the single’s success Of course, it goes without saying that the actual singing and styling was not great on Mariah's part but I believe that her heart was in it. She sounded affected by the emotion of the very sad event. American Idol star, Jennifer Hudson, also performed at the memorial service. She sang "Will You Be There" and was accompanied by a choir (I just realized that these songs sort of go together – will you be there and I'll be there… interesting). Of course, I'm sure there wasn't a dry eye in the house when the singing faded and Michael's speaking part from the song was played. image: Newscom Post from: She Plays Music |
