David Cook on Acting, Paula Abdul and Donating Pants to Hard Rock Posted: 14 Aug 2009 01:45 AM PDT According to E!, American Idol winner, David Cook, has said that he would like to get into acting while he was doing a CD signing a the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles. "It’s another kind of way to be creative, so I’m very on board for that." I think that it could actually work, to be honest. I think that David is an intense person and he's had a lot of life experience which totally comes out in his music. I'm sure he could translate into something great on the big screen or television. I hope he gets some offers! He also weighed in on the fact that Paula Abdul is not returning to Idol. "Nobody can replace her," Cook said. "I don’t think anybody should try. What made Paula work and what makes all the judges work is that they are their own people… After being critiqued, I don’t know if I can do that to someone." No kidding! Well, for what it's worth, I completely agree with him about Paula so it should be interesting to see how this upcoming season goes. David also donated some pants to the Hard Rock (I love going to the different Hard Rock Cafe's around the world and seeing all of the memorabilia so it's cool that he did this!). Watch this quick video about the donation. \ Post from: Idol Stalker |
Kimberly Caldwell to Host P. Diddy’s “StarMaker” Posted: 13 Aug 2009 08:57 PM PDT Kimberly Caldwell, who you might remember from Season 2 of American Idol (and as David Cook's ex-girlfriend), is joining another reality TV show but, thankfully, she will NOT be a contestant. Instead, she's been tapped to host P. Diddy's new MTV show StarMaker. On the show, 14 contestants vie for the ultimate prize – a recording contract with Bad Boy Records which, of course, would include having their career launched by Bad Boy CEO, P. Diddy. The 10-episode series kicks off on August 16, 2009 at 10pm ET/PT. They do have some celebrity guests lined up including Fall Out Boy bassist, Pete Wentz, Lady Gaga, Nicole Scherzinger and Kelly Rowland (formerly of Destiny's Child and BFF to Beyoncé). I may tune in for Pete Wentz. I can't explain why but I just like him! To be very honest, I'm not completely sure I'm going to watch it. Are you going to give it a try? I think it's well placed on the schedule since it comes on right after America's Best Dance Crew so StarMaker might get some of that audience. image: MTV Post from: Idol Stalker |
