Britney Spears “Top Ten” on Letterman – Smart or Sad?

Britney Spears has been on a comeback of epic proportions since her album Circus debuted and she hit the tour circuit.  I've been so impressed with her progress and the support she's gotten from her family and it really warms my heart to see her running around with her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.  She has cleaned up her act, I haven't spotted a single picture of her walking into a gas station bathroom with no shoes on and she's gotten back in shape.

Earlier this week, she agreed to do the "Top Ten" list on The Late Show With David Letterman and that didn't sound any alarm bells since a lot of celebrities do it.  I had to laugh a little when I learned that she would describe the "Top Ten Ways the Country Would Be Different If Britney Spears Were President" but then I took a minute to think about it. 

Yes, I have a sense of humor and I even can appreciate a little self-deprecation but when you've been where Britney's been in this past couple years, I think it's probably best to avoid anything that could be considered degrading.  I'm thinking wearing a bikini while you name of things like "We would only invade fun places like Cabo!" (which was #9) could fall into that category.

Anyway, maybe I'm looking at this too critically but, then again, the jokes weren't that funny… On the plus side, she looked great!  It's Friday so I'll just relax and have a little fun.  Watch the segment here:
